Fortifying Rest
Join us for an evening of contemplative rest with guided non-movement meditation, restorative silence, and interspiritual prayers and readings.
6:00—6:30 Doors open, and we will offer light refreshments
6:30 gathering formally begins (this will be a meditative space, so we encourage you to come on time)
7:30: event ends with silence

Colleen Thomas, Lead Facilitator
Colleen Thomas is an ordained minister, Spiritual Director, writer and podcast host who delights in companioning others on their spiritual journey leading contemplative prayer groups, and spiritual formation workshops and retreats. She serves as the Diversity Outreach Coordinator for Contemplative Outreach Ltd. You can hear her in conversation about Centering Prayer and the contemplative life on their podcast Opening Minds, Opening Hearts. In 2020 she founded Soul Care LA to offer contemplative prayer groups, workshops, and retreats for young professionals, creatives, and BIPOC communities. After graduating from Fuller Theological Seminary with a MA in Theology and Art, she worked in television in Los Angeles for 15 years before relocating back to her hometown of Washington, D.C. in 2022.
