Since 1989, the Festival Center has served as a meeting place for activists, artists, people of faith (and no faith), seekers, and mission-driven groups. A pillar and landmark in the Adams Morgan neighborhood, the Center is a home to numerous organizations and a generative space for justice-minded ministry. Soteria Community School, one of the Center's programs, offers courses, events, and guests speakers focusing on the intersection of faith and society. The Center also offers Discipleship Year, a year-long service program where volunteers live together in community and serve with local DC organizations. The Festival Center is a place of encounter and support for those who struggle, face oppression, or are working for justice.
